G.I. Joe (movie review)

G.I. Joe the Rise of Cobra. When I first saw the previews on TV I though, oh no not some another hookie movie. Previews have to be pretty strong for me to plop down my $8.75 (before the $20 popcorn, drink and candy combo). Some movies I just never make it out to see because of the previews and this happen to be one of them.

To my surprise this was an awesome movie. I loved watching all the high tech gadgets and weapons they had throughtout the movie. It kind of reminded me of XXX State of the Union to the 10th power. If you had any reservations about watching this movie, wait no more. It is an action junkies dream movie.

QUARTERLY TOWN HALL MEETING

FORT BRAGG, N.C. - The next Fort Bragg Community Town Hall meeting will be held Monday, November 23, 9:30 a.m. at the Fort Bragg Officers' Club.

This quarterly forum, considered a mini-Army Family Action Plan (AFAP), provides an opportunity for community members to submit issues in advance and recommend solutions to these issues, as well as provide information on upcoming events both on and off the installation.  Issues addressed in this forum are typically local issues that can be resolved quickly.  Issues can be submitted through the www.fortbraggmwr.com website, via email, or in person.

The November meeting will have a slightly new format.  Not only will the issues that were submitted in advance be addressed, but the Garrison Commander, Colonel Steven Sicinski, will open the floor for attendees to address any new concerns to him directly.  Key agency representatives will also be on hand to provide input on any issue presented.  For more information, please call 910-396-4447.

WDTV 2.0 LIVE ~ I got it

OK I got the WDTV LIVE not to be confused with the WDTV 1.0. Lets just say I am extremly happy with it. I put all my kid's DVDs on an externel harddrive and all they need to do now is use one remote and find to movie they want to watch. No more scratched up DVDs, and buying another DVD because it skips or wont play anymore.

What I really like about it is that it is now networked into my wireless network. I can pull media from my desktop where I have my large external harddrives hooked up. I can now hang out with my kids and watch movies without having to go to each room looking for DVDs. Also we look at our pictures and listen to music.

I have not tried the Internet radio options yet. I have watched many YouTube videos and it's pretty easy to operate. My 9 year old loves it almost as much as me. I give it 4 1/2 stars out of 5. Only thing I would say where they could inprove this is install a wireless card in it, but I quess that's the 3.0 Maybe.
